    Hi, Everyone I am new to this forum and I have question regarding my nursing license endorsement can anyone please help me!I am in process of the RN license endorsement from NewYork to texas and i get the temporary license from TX which Expires on March 6 and i am working on Nursing home so in this situation can i work with NY license untill i get the permanent one from TX

    Generally no especially since NY is not a NLC state. But the best response would be to call the TX BoN for the official answer

    so that means I need to quit the job......I m worried how to say the employer I will no longer be able to work cause I was hired just two weeks ago.... thanks for your response

    Idk about Texas BUT I endorsed my license from NY to FL without a problem just had to apply by endorsement to FLA

    You can let your employer know that you are in the process of endorsement but have not received your license yet. They may be willing to just take you off the schedule until your license comes in. Contact BON to get an estimation of how long endorsement will take.

    I am interested in doing the same. In your case would you tell me how long the process took you from application to actual FL lic#?

    I also have a thread about this I don't know how to link you to it I am browsing AN on the android app. When you get a chance check out my threads any assistance will be appreciated.

    Hi! Um the whole process wasnt soo bad I passed NCLEX Dec 5 (for NY) & just got my FLA endorsement like Feb 21 it maybe would have been a week or so shorter if I didn't forget a few pieces of paperwork here and there for FL

    See I live here in Florida went to Nx school here it's just taking a refresher course just wasnt feasible after failing 3 times so I researched and found out I could take it for NY without a problem and endorse it to FL

    So I have a NY & a FL license

    My understanding of your history is that prior taking the FL nclex you decided that it was more of an advantage to you if you avoided any 3 times nclex failures/refresher course "threat" from the sunshine state and took it in NY. Am I undestanding it correctly?

    My fear is that missing the nclex outside of FL will jeopardize its endorsement. Not sure if you were trying to tell me that you actually researched the exact matter and that it was a positive. Lol, lost.

    No I took it 3 times in Florida..& failed it 3 times in florida then Florida required I take a refresher course before I could take it again but I couldn't afford a refresher course so I researched and found that I could take NCLEX a 4th time in NY and I passed then I simply endorsed my NY license to Florida since I live in Florida

    If u pass NCLEX outside of Florida u can still endorse ur license to Florida

    Sorry there is some miscommunication
