U.S.A. Texas

Any suggestion?

What is cost?

How long does it take?

She had hers from Philippines a few years ago, but it didn't make it with her when she came to US.

So now she needs to do it again and get another BSL Certificate.

You can search for classes in your area (using your zip code) through the link below.

I recently did my renewal using the online class portion and just needed to go to do the skills test part of it afterwards. The link for the online class:

http://www.onlineaha.org/ the online class cost $17.50. There are a few "check points" during the course where you have to get a certain score on the questions they give you. You have to pass those sections for it to give you a certificate to print out to take to your skills test. It allows you to pace yourself and you get the opportunity to retake those "check points" till you get a passing score. It is pretty easy, she shouldn't have a problem.

I did my skills test through Dunn CPR in Arlington. REALLY great people and you can come in during their business hours at your convenience.

http://www.dunncpr.com/ Their cost for the skills test was $20. Although, the first link in this post will allow you to also find locations for the BLS skills test if you need something closer to you. I found it to be cheaper than at some of the hospitals that I looked into, but when you do that, you pay for the booklet that they give you. I hope that helps some!

The online course allows you to only do those "check points" so that would take less than an hour I would think. The skills test won't take more than an hour. You are tested over: 1 person adult CPR, AED use, one-person infant CPR and the two-person infant CPR. It is by far quicker and easier than sitting through a four hour class, but for some people that is helpful.

Also, some skills test locations do not allow you time to practice if it has been a long time since playing with the mannequins. That may be something she may want to ask about when calling, if that is what she needs.
