Each semester varies, but they are around 4500 per semester. The summer is cheaper, and if like many of the students you have already completed most or all of those courses, it won't be much. I only have to take the math class, personally. The program total is about 21,500. Plus books and supplies, of course.

Oh ok. I plan on applying for fall 2012. By then I would have math, stats, lifespan, psych, ap1, 2, micro and possibly chem finished. I'm not sure what other courses they would require but I would have just about everything done

Would anyone say that bshp rn program is rigorous?

Also is Chemistry a requirement to graduate?

Chem is not a prereq to graduate but micro is. And chem is a prereq for micro.

Hey guys hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving with your families! I wanted to let you know that I had ordered all my first semester books online last night off of amazon and I bought all 7 of them for $404.37. I am not sure if it is because of cyber week but they had some promotion at the end where I got $60 off my entire purchase so if anyone hasn't bought their books yet just thought this may help:) Every little bit counts!

That is awesome! Thanks! Here's a question for you...were you able to get the books for the years listed, and the one that is a package deal? I know it says you can buy separately, but I wasn't able to find the second book on half.com. I was also coming across many books with a different year publishing date, but the same ISBN and editions. Not sure if it matters, but I would rather not find out the hard way that it does!! Kinda sounds like I need to check out Amazon! I've been a faithful half.com customer for a while, I've never actually tried Amazon!

Hey everybody, Jason here. I'm going to Baptist Spring 2012 and am super excited! By the way, not to brag, but I just got all the books for the first semester for $275. Got them from a combo of ebay, craigslist, and amazon. BTW if you get books on craigslist please meet at a public place just for safety. Crazy people out there ya know. I always do HEB or Walmart in front of the store, and never at my house or anyone elses. Just sayin. Anyways look forward to meeting everybody!:yeah:

Do you guys know if we can get any stethoscope, or does it need to be the Littman ones from orientation? I went to L&M today and they had some for $30.

No they don't have to be the Litmann one. I think most nursing schools have some kind of deal from that company, but that is only my suspicion. There are companies like MFD, or American Diagnostic Corporation too that offer quality stethoscopes. In fact I got one for a friend of mine who is an LVN student from ADC and she loves it. She said it has even better sound then others shes come across. On amazon Im about to order a set that has the penlight, scissors, etc with the stethoscope for 30 bucks. But just prepared to be the handful of people that does not have a Litmann just for the sheer fact that they are so heavily advertised. If you don't care about being that then I would get something other then the Litmann. The one Im probably going to get is actually royal blue so it matches the scrubs haha. Hope that helps :)

ADC ADSCOPE 603 Stainless Stethoscope, Black

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great-good as a Littmann, September 3, 2007

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

This review is from: ADC ADSCOPE 603 Stainless Stethoscope, Burgundy (Health and Beauty)

This is a great scope for the price, and much better than others costing more. It works as good as a Littmann at 1/3 the price. The additional earpieces are helpful, and the different colors are fun.

This was a review I found about the American Diagnostic Corporation stethoscope for under 30. Im just putting this out there because there is SO MUCH STUFF we have to buy so why not try to save money without sacrificing quality. Hope this helps :yeah:
