Thank you! Last day to submit transcripts is August 20th. I'm taking the medical assistant class in the meantime. I'm excited that you can tell me all about the program:))

hello, i need some help. i am currently going to apply for the 2013 spring grayson adn nursing program. my cut off date is july 31th. i take the evolve admission assessment exam on the 23rd and i needed some advice on how to study and get the most possible points. i am so nervous! also i read the nursing packet that ms.*** gives you and had questions on what is needed to turn in for shot records since i was a veteran.

Good luck! I personally studied Petersons nursing school entrance exam. I study a little differently so I did nothing but take practice tests for 4 days straight. A&P is very important so make sure you know it. Vocabulary is hard if you don't study. Going over the tests helped me a lot. I did this and received the 3 points first time taking the test.

I am also a veteran and needed to get my Hep B, Dtap and varicella because I didn't have a record of having chicken pox as a child. I had all my shots done before the application deadline. You can make an appointment to speak to someone and go over all of your information. I did and it helped assure myself I had everything completed. Good luck in the spring :)

Also i read the nursing packet that Ms.*** gives you and had questions on what is needed to turn in for shot records since i was a veteran.

I used the Evolve which was recommended by El Centro in Dallas. They now have a 3rd edition I hear ,and can be purchased on Amazon for around $40. I highly recommend it too, because almost all of my vocabulary and anatomy test questions were in it. It's what Dallas County uses for their HESI & the test is universal for all schools. Good luck!! Hopefully we can start at the same time:)

Thank you so much for yalls reply! i appreciate it so much!! i got all those books, and have been studying hardcore. Still a little nervous tho! Got an A in all my pre-reqs, but still gotta go over alot of A&P. Any good books for that? Heard it was a big part of the Grayson Evolve Exam! Do yall have any recommendations on how to study? I know its just nerves but whooo i wanna do my best. LOL. hopefully ill get in for spring 2013. Tryna to get the hightest points possible since i dont got the 2 points because i dont live in that area. Thank you for taking the time out ur day to respond to my post!! I took the HESi at El Centro and all of my anatomy questions came from that book. How many points do you have as of now, 25?
