jazzynurse2b,

They consider several factors when deciding who gets an invitation and the host emphasized the importance of the personal statement over everything else below:

UTMB FAQs:
What information will the School of Nursing consider when reviewing files for admission?
The school considers three GPA’s for the BSN program: Science, Prerequisite, and Overall. Your GPA is an important aspect of your application. The school also considers the number of withdrawals and failures on your transcripts. We also will look at your personal accomplishments, scholastic honors, leadership roles, hardships, cultural experiences, community service, and any extra curricular activities in which you have been involved. Your personal statement is another very important aspect of your application.

PV is the only school that I know of that does the first come first served thingy.

jazzynurse2b we are all sooo anxious, so don't feel bad! I am so glad we have this bulletin board to talk to each other. I feel like I'm just sitting around watching the dates on the calendar change S-L-O-W-L-Y.

I just verified everything is in and now the waiting game begins. I am so glad I found this thread and to know I'm not the only one that worries so much. I wish everyone the best of luck in getting into the nursing program.

Hi and welcome Lindsey. We have all done the easy part and now the hard part begins (waiting). I feel like I'm on that JcPenney commercial, where they are standing in the window saying open, open. Gosh, who knew this could be so. Ms Sealy did you finish everything for PV, like the net.
