UT Houston INTERVIEW... please help me.. thanks!

I have an interview for The University of Texas Health Science Center. I'm happy and very nervous.

I will have a writing sample and personal interview... it will last 4 hours total. WOW!

Can you guys give me some advice? What was it like for you? What was the interview process like? What was the writing sample about? Please tell me everything you know to ease my nervousness. THANK YOU!!!!

The interview seriously was not that horrifying. Of course you go in nervous and freaking out, but just relax and talk to the other people around you. When i went we were all ( about 15 other people) sent into a room where we had to fill out a essay and we were given a sample schedule for the semester that you had to be prepared to discuss whether you can handle it to the interviewer. The lady who interviewed me was SUPER sweet and very easy to talk to , but you will BETTER than ever when you leave out of that room and go home!! haha!! I start there in the Fall so guess i did pretty well!!!!

Yeah I was in your position in February. Like texasstudent832 said, you're going to be nervous, but it is really not that bad. I was talkin to people at my work and other students applying to PA school about their interviews and they sounded really hard so I was really worried and nervous about the interview, but it went a lot better than I thought it was going to. I was accepted for the Fall 2009 BSN program as well and I am excited/nervous about it. But all in all it was not a really hard interview, just go in prepared and organized with your stuff and dress nice! If you have any other questions just let me know! What program and year are you applying for?

Hello 123wannabanurse,

I was also at this interview on June 15th! What did you think of the interview overall? It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, and the interviewer was very nice. I made sure to ask plenty of questions, and I believe she responded well to that.

I'm sure it's probably too soon right now, but have you heard anything back yet? I am becoming more and more anxious as I wait...

ttyl,

Is the braid gonna mess up my chance of getting in? I do no think so but would like a 2nd opinion on it. Its all about keeping it neat init?

I don't understand why you must take them out unless they are different colors or something. As long as ur hair is neat and ur presentable that shouldn't mattter. I'm pretty sure ur hair is gonna b the last thing on the interviewer's mind. So go for what u feel!! : )

they just 2 colors my natural black hair n very dark brown. the brown is not that conspicuous. That should not be a problem right? I mean ppl highlight their hair so I should be fine.
