UT-Houston applicant consideration

by KenPen

Hi everyone,

I'm one of those "changing careers in mid-life" people I'm currently getting my prerequisites done at HCC. I've had all A's but I will be taking classes through next Spring.

Here's the question: Will my application get consideration for the BSN Accelerated program at UT-Houston even though I will still be taking prerequisite classes in the Spring?

Someone told me that since competition was so great, they don't even look at those that haven't already completed the prerequisites.

Thanks,
Kenny

I would call the advisors at UT-Houston and ask, that way you get accurate information and can ask them any other questions you might have. I'm sure they are more than happy to answer questions like this.

Hello!..Im a Fall UT-H student and i was in ur situation. I was finishing up the last of my requirements over last Spring. However, I was finishing my philosophy and statistics requirement-i finished up my sciences last year. I think things swing a bit more in ur favor during the application process if you have more completed science courses in addition to the minimum required science credits to apply. Sciences were highly emphasized!
Much luck to ya

i'm not sure if it's different for the accellerated program, but for the generic bsn track, you must have 1/2 of your science classes completed at the time of application. i got accepted before i had grades in a&p 2 and chemistry (but i had everything else).

but you should definately ask someone at ut to be sure.
