UT Houston

Hello everyont! I am new to the nursing school world and do not know much about how competitive it is. I have a bachelor's in biology and currently am a Biology Graduate student who decided to pursue nursing instead. I am applying to UT Houston for nursing school and would like to know if I have any chance. My undergrad GPA is a 3.57 overall and my science GPA is somewhere around 3.7. My graduate GPA is a 4.0 so far. I took the HESI and made a 96. I haven't taken the NET yet. Do I have a chance?

Yes, your stats are fine. The interview is relaxed and friendly. Be sure to show enthusiasm and be prepared to answer questions such as why you chose nursing and UT, what have you done to prepare financially, etc.. When I went through about half of those offered an interview were accepted. Apply for the program at the earliest date possible and that especially goes for financial aid. Apply to other nursing schools also to improve your chances of acceptance. Good luck!
