Quantitative Literacy is kind of an overview of math. It has simple math, stats, calculating financial formulas, etc.

The TWU Website says:
"Completed at least 46 hours of required lower division non-nursing courses to include these selected major prerequisite nursing courses (Anatomy and Physiology + Labs 8 hours, Chemistry + Lab 4 hours, Microbiology + Lab 4 hours, Growth and Development Across the Life Span 3 hours, Nutrition 3 hours, Statistics 3 hours) and be able to complete all 58 hours of the lower division course work specified in the degree plan before beginning nursing courses except for Multicultural Women’s Studies (3 hours)"

The quanatative literacy class is another math course that you have to take if you are not core complete at the school that you're doing you're pre req work at. So in essence you'd have to take college algebra, math based statistics and this quanatative math course as well.

I did multicultural/women's health(it counted for either) at the Houston campus .. it was a 1 week long session and very easy.

Well, it looks like most of your questions have been answered - from the original post. However, just in case there is any confusion...i am currently in my second semester of the upper level nursing courses in Dallas. TWU no longer requires sociology in the core courses, speech competency is met in your upper level nursing courses (so do NOT take a seperate speech class), the computer literacy has a test out option, but you can always take it in a maymester with no problem, and the math 1013 i believe Quantitive literacy is a definite requirement now (it wasn't when i was doing pre-reqs), and statistics (math) is required-i do not care for math at all..and I made an A in the course-i do not believe TWU accepts the psych stats course. Anything else i can help with - just ask.
