Texas Tech RN -BSN

by CNAT

I'm trying to find out the level of difficulty of the Texas Tech RN to BSN program. I have been told that it can be completed in two semesters. Is there anyone that has done so? It's been awhile since I went to school fulltime and worked fulltime. Should I expect to complete it in more than two semesters? I have the drive I just want to make sure I will have the time. Any advice would be wonderful.

Thanks

My good friend is in their accelerated BSN program, the one for those who already have a 4yr degree. It is a year program. They have told her she is not to work during the program. It is a satellite program so she is not attending school at the main campus. It's suppose to be very intense. She starts in the fall.

I have researched this program and it is 100% online ( I think you have a small clinical) with only 2 semesters but it is 15 hours each semester. Now I have strongly considered this program and will work during it. There are people on here that have done it and say that it is doable . Have you done a search yet?

I did so a search and found that several people feel that way. I'm also in Mississippi so I will have to fly in for the three mandatory sessions.

Almost all of their students do work full-time while completing the program. If you fall behind, they will work with you, but the expectation is that you complete it in the two semesters. It's totally distinct from the 2nd-degree BSN, which is crazy-insane-don't-do-this-if-you-have-kids-or-a-spouse-or-friends busy. Which is not to say the RN-BSN will be easy, just that there are people who manage to do it and work, too. (BTW, I haven't done it but I have a friend from church who is in administration in the nursing school at TT and was involved in putting these programs together, that's my source!) Good luck!
