Texas licensure question, please help.

different states have different intervals for renewal.....i am lic. in two states...one is every year and the other is every other year....good luck

In the state of Texas, nurses who were born during odd-numbered years will always renew their license during odd-numbered years. For example, I was born in 1981, which is an odd-numbered year. Therefore, my renewal years are 2009, 2011, 2013, and so on.

Likewise, nurses who were born during even-numbered years will always renew their license during even-numbered years. A nurse who was born in 1970, an even-numbered year, would always be scheduled to renew in 2010, 2012, 2014, and so forth.

Texas licensure renewal dates also correspond with your birth month. You will always renew during your birth month, regardless of when your initial license was issued.

How is school going?

Going with the one year thing, any CEU's you do before you renew for the 2 year period DO NOT COUNT. For anything..unless you just want to better yourself.

TBON rules: Licenses are to be renewed by the end of the holder's birth month every two years. Renewal years will fall either odd or even according to the holder's birth year. INITIAL licenses are to be renewed no less than 9 months and no more than 29 months after initial licensure. After that, it is every two years on the nose.

I believe this to be correct, as we learned it in school....but I couldn't find it on the BON website...so the numbers may be a little off.

For example: My birthday is 11/04/1986. Therefore, if I recieved my license today, it would be up for renewal on 11/30/2010.

This is because I was born in an even year and 11/30 is the end of my birth-month.
