Re: TCC NS with a C in AP?
It would be a very small program if they only let in those who made nothing but A's. Yes, those people are chosen first, but it isn't realistic to expect every single person to make A's. The science classes are hard. There are too many rumors going around about people having to have 4.0 gpas to get in. That is just not true. If you have already finished your classes, then you should go ahead and apply. That will give you a definite answer. I wouldn't rely on what anyone else says, including me. Just because I haven't met anyone who has gotten in with two C's doesn't mean it hasn't happened. I was talking to a friend of mine this morning who is in the nursing program with me. I mentioned your post and asked her if she knew anyone who had been admitted with two C's in her science classes. She doesn't know anyone admitted with two C's, but she did tell me that she had one C in A&P I, and she was admitted. She also said that she knows someone who was admitted with a 3.2 gpa. She said the person did exceptionally well on her TEAS test. In light of this, I think you should go ahead and take the TEAS test, try to do well on it, and apply to the program. You may not get in, but the worst they can say is "no." Meanwhile, you can retake one of your A&P classes. I wish you lots of luck!
