Tarrant County College students out there?

Does anybody know if you receive "bonus points" in admissions eyes for completing pharmacology, pathophysiology and concepts?

I have completed all of these and I did the cornerstone program at TCC (an honors associate degree plan) I would just like to knwo if any of that is taken into consideration :wink2:

Moved to the Texas Nurses forum, where you are far more likely to encounter other Tarrant County College students (past and present).

I've been attending TCC for the past couple of years, although I'm not enrolled in any one of their nursing programs. Good luck to you, and welcome to our online community!

HI. I have been taking my pre-reqs at the South campus since 2004.

I'm betting you might bet some brownie points. A counciler told me if you take medical terminolgy you get some extra points for that as well. So I dont see why they wouldnt for those classes you've taken.

G/L!

I am starting the TCC program this fall 2008 after retaking all my science courses, last several semesters. After 27 years of nursing via LVN, I am finally on my way to the RN program, I cannot wait!!!!!

Looking for other TCC Fall '08 nursing students.....:typing

good luck to all this year!

As of the class that started in Jan '07 (the class I am in!) you no longer get bonus points for medical terminology, patho, pharm, dimensional analysis, etc. It is a straight points system off your classes completed and TEAS.

Good Luck!!!

Thanks for the info Bakers! Do you know how the TEAS is weighted? I'm kind of nervous bc I don't have a 4.0 in my sciences....

I am hoping to apply next Spring as well. I'm finishing up AP2 right now and taking 3 easy online classes during the summer. After that I only have Micro and English 2 - then I'm done with all the pre-reqs!!
