In search of a nurse tech position

I'm about to finish my 3rd semester in nursing school. I have completed the 1st med-surg level and about to complete my maternity and pediatric classes by the end of this semester. So, what i'm asking is how would I go about getting a nurse tech position. I would love to work med-surg but I'm willing to work anywhere that's available. I really need the experience. Does anyone know of any places in Houston, tx. I would really appreciate the help. I'm just not sure about the process of getting this job. Thanks for any help.
