San Jacinto College - Applicants

Ok, I just turned in my application for the ADN program at San Jacinto College. I was wondering who else out there applied this go round?

What option did you use going in? A or B?

I used A, after taking my ACT a few weeks ago. I scored a 30, so hopefully that will get me in!!!

Applications are due June 1st!

Good Luck to EVERYONE!!!

30 on your ACT will almost certainly get you into the program. I used mine (25) and was accepted for Fall 2003. The woman who accepted my application told me she felt sorry for the applicants who tried to use their 19 or 20 ACT score instead of GPA. They didn't have a chance.

Best wishes!!

You can take prereqs at any San Jac campus and they will count. I took my prereqs at South, nursing courses at Central, and Fine Arts requirement from North online. They all go on the same transcript.

The nursing program at San Jac is NOT easy. I'm of the opinion, though, that if nursing were easy, anyone could do it. I want to be assured that my nurse completed a thorough and challenging program to ensure the best care for me and my family.

If you read and study the assignments, come to class prepared, and don't leave all the above to the last minute, you should do well.

Best wishes!

I have watched my mother, sister, aunt, and sister in law all go through nursing school. All at different schools. No matter where it is at, it is hard. You have to be VERY dedicated.

Good Luck.

About SIX more weeks until I find out if I made it in! LOL (It is probaly a little to early to start the count down!)

I too had VERY bad grades at UH. However, I took classes at San Jac south, and now I am going to start the LVN program in August! Just take some easy classes, and bring your grades up. You can do it. Don't get discouraged by what other people tell you. Set a goal for yourself and like the Nike ad says, just do it.
