Re: Relocating to work in hondo texas
So sorry the Hondo position did not work out. I worked with them as part of a former job, and I know that they are a great rural hospital.
I don't think you are going to find any urban hospitals with relocation funding for staff nurses these days. We're one of the few states still in hiring mode these days so we are reaping the benefit - nurses are relocating to Texas on their own. FYI, hospitals in my area are absolutely not using recruiters for staff nurse positions these days because it is an unnecessary expense. With your valuable experience & expertise, you would probably have more luck on your own dealing directly with the hiring facilities.
You may also be able to negotiate a relocation loan - paid off by working for them for a while. I am sure that in a couple of years, everyone will be back to offering recruitment inducements. Timing is everything - it's just the old supply & demand thing.
