Purple,maybe even Blue

The Polls in Collin County and the city of Plano are showing a strong new hope for being at least purple politically, possibly might even go Blue.

Can you imagine Plano Texas going purple or Blue. Simply amazing the changes coming in this world. "The world is turning upside down."

Now that would shock the h-e-double L out of me! I feel like a lonely Dem in a sea of Rep around here. I know this has to be all in my head, but ever since my hubby and I put an Obama sticker on our car we have been pulled over 3 times for "little things" that result in a warning. I am sure it must be concidence but then again who knows?!

One reason I love allnurses so much is that I find alot of people with similar views to mine. It is a very refreshing change. My hubby and I have even thought about moving to a more liberal state but we really do love Texas. My Dad a born and raised Texan (well so am I but anyway) he said he remembers back when Texas was more liberal. He blames all the Yankees for moving down here, LOL. I know he is just kidding and just needs a scapegoat. But I do remember when we had the great Ann Richards as Governor. Times do change.

The Rio Grande Valley area of Texas is a blue and liberal as you could want. I37 south a few hundred miles, and you'd be in heaven, politically.

Yeah Austin usually is liberal/blue. As far as "yankees" I would think they would be more liberal than conservative. Seems like the North East is usually blue. I'm a die hard republican--Go McCain! But, I hope whichever candidate gets it, he is able to take on the responsibility and become a great President. I know I wouldn't want to be President. Very stressful job where you have very vocal critics around every turn and everyone second guesses every single decision you make. Then on top of all that, there is always the possibility of getting assassinated. No thank you!

i agree with you, hopeful. you cannot pay me enough to be president of a country. i would go nuts from the stress and having to deal with people from all over the world. but everybody is different. just like how you cannot pay some people to be nurses

Dallas could go blue; the Obama folks are about delivering Dallas county. Clinton made a dent in it & this year the dent will be bigger. Have you voted yet?

My gf and I voted on the first day in Plano, even had a bit of a line waiting to vote. Then we went to IHOP to celebrate our blue votes.

I forgot I meant to tell you that I agree that "yankees" are normally more liberal. It was a joke, that was I said LOL. I guess my Dad just likes to blame whatever he can on those yankees!
