I do not currently live in El Paso, but was born and raised there and I'm looking to move back (God willing!) in about 6-10 months.
That's not enough time to start a full blown program here before I leave. It was suggested to me by a friend who is a CNA to consider taking a CNA course and see if I can get a job here for a few months for some experience. (side note: I have no prior medical schooling) I have a couple of questions:
Would that help my cause any, because I'm not sure what all I'd have to do to get re certified in Texas.
We have a nice set up here (in Virginia Beach) with the local hospital, Sentara, that has their own "School of Health Professions" where they offer several programs, do any of the hospitals there offer anything similar?
Is anyone aware of any accelerated programs (RN, LPN) in El Paso? I've gone to the Texas BON for a listing of accredited programs, but it's so hard to tell online. I'd love some personal feedback that any EP residents might be able to give.
TIA guys!
