Nursing schools in DFW

Can someone give me a list of Nursing Schools in the Fort Worth area? I've had my heart set on TCC for so long - and reality is now setting in that I should really be applying to more than just this one school.
I am actually located out between Benbrook and Granbury area. So if there are any nursing school out that way - that'd be great.
thanks!

Have you checked into Weatherford College? They offer an ADN program and they aren't far from where you live. Let me know if you have any questions. I was just accepted to their Spring 2009 class.

I've been trying to check out the weatherford website for info on their ADN program - but everytime I click on that link, it goes to a blank page. Do you happen to know how to get onto their website? Any info you can give me on WC would be great!! Thanks!!

Yeah Weatherford is probably closest to you. You may also want to look at Tarleton State . Apply everywhere the competition in this area is fierce and evil.....

I think the only thing they provide on their website is the application. You can email Karen Long, the dept secretary, and she can forward you all of the information for the program.

Basically, they go off of a point system. The pre req's to apply are A&PI, APII, Micro, & either Algebra or Chemistry. You receive points for your GPA of these classes, your scores on the TEAS test, and you receive 1 point for the other classes that you have completed (out of the other ADN pre req's). Last year, the application period for the Fall class was Dec 3rd - end of Feb. This year they started a Spring night/weekend class and the application period was during the summer and we will start in January. I think she told me that they accepted 40 out of about 200 that applied for the Fall 2008 class. It is competitive just as the other schools in the area but they rank the candidates differently (based on points, not GPA) than TCC so it may depend on what your situation is whether you would have a better chance at WC or TCC. Good Luck and let me know if you have any other questions!!

If you recently applied to start in the fall, the letters should go out the Friday before spring break. In this case, it would be March 13th. Best of luck to you!

Does anyone know what a competitive score is for getting into Weatherford? My point total is 23 out of a possible 26.
Thanks
