Nursing in the DFW area

Hi everyone. I'm going to be graduating from school in April 2010 and hopefully moving to the DFW later in the year. Im curious how the job market is for new grads? Are there many options available? Thanks

Default Re: Nursing in the DFW area
Keep this fact in mind before you move to DFW. . . The area is loaded with nursing programs. There are nursing programs at El Centro College, Brookhaven College, Tarrant County College, Trinity Valley Community College, Collin County College, University of Texas at Arlington, Texas Women's University, Texas Christian University, Southwestern Adventist University, Weatherford College, Hill College, Grayson County College, North Central Texas College, Navarro College, and other schools I haven't mentioned.

These schools churn new nurses out into the local job market every few months. If there are too many nurses in one area, the pay rates suffer somewhat. In addition, a new grad might not exactly get the first job of their choice when he/she is competing in a local job market against many other new grads.
