New RN having trouble finding job in Dallas

by js12

Hi, I just graduated in May 09 with my BSN and just recently passed NCLEX and am now officially an RN. I missed the June GN internships. I'm looking for full time work preferably at a hospital in the Dallas area. Does anyone know of any places that would hire me? I don't really know how it works now considering I'm an RN instead of a GN. I almost feel like there's not much of a difference considering a lot of places won't hire RNs without previous experience. Can anyone explain how that would work? Should I still wait around for internships? I heard from Baylor and THR that they'll post some up in the coming weeks that will start for Aug/Sept. but when I asked that was for GNs. If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. I'm highly interested in either ER or ICU but any hospital area would be fine as well.

Thanks in advance!!!

Yes, still apply for the GN positions, most places that just means "New Nurse".

Good luck
