New Grad l & d suggestions

I will be graduating in Dec 2009 with my bsn. I have worked as a tech for the past 3 years with 1 year in L & D. I've also had experience with clinicals in this area.
I am looking to relocate to TX upon graduation- Beaumont, Dallas or Houston (eventually want to go to baylor's DNP program in nurse-midwifery). What is the average pay expected? Also, what hospitals would you recommend? Right now im working at a hospital with LDRP but I would prefer to have just L & D so that I can get more experience with that.
