Can anyone give me any advice on how the NET test went? How I should review what to expect etc?

Are you talking about Texas Womens's , I thought they went by GPA strictly... HUMM you learn something every day. I have posted on here exactly what my experience has been with the NET. Just do A search and type in NET. It will take you to all the threads about the test ... Good luck

I'm taking it @ TWU Houston this saturday!!!
What I've read from previous threads, is that first, it's not that hard of an test. It covers mainly basic math skill like converting fractions, division of numbers with decimals, equations etc... and the reading part is about understanding what you just have read, knowing the interference, theme, main statement etc... of an paragraph, and of course basic grammar for the writing part.
Good luck on your test,
Ginger

So its just math, english, and writing? I bought a study guide and there was a science part to it.

As far as I know they will only test your science reading comprehension, but I could be wrong. The best thing is to call TWU, and get further information.
PS what is the name of the book?

At TWU, you take the NET after you are accepted. If you don't get a certain score, you stretch your first two semesters out over 3 semesters instead and have to take success classes. The test is mainly reading comprehension, math (some basic algenra)and a test taking skills section (which doesn't even count).

No I will start the BSN program in Houston.

Longhorn,
You got me a little confused now, does your book specifically says that there will be a science part involved, or is it just about comprehending science material?
Oh well, if there will be a science part, than I just have to suck it up and use common sense on these questions, since I don't have any time to study for it right now, because all my finals are coming up this week as well as next week.
Peace Ginger

I am a Junior II at the Dallas/Parkland campus. Of course, I took the net a year ago. Unless it has changed, there was NO SCIENCE ???'s. The only thing they looked at was math and reading comprehension.
