Nervous Wreck

So i just went down to houston for interviews in the woodlands and one in the southwest area. I LOVED the woodlands and i am leaning towards taking the job there, however my concern is the distance from downtown...Is there anywhere in the middle of both places i can live that is still nice (tomball, spring, aldine)what are the exact distances?

HELP!!!

Tomball is still a far stretch from Downtown Houston. Geographically, the Woodlands is far north from Downtown while Tomball is more in the northwest direction. Although Tomball has changed in the past several years, if you compare Tomball with the other surrounding areas in Houston, there really isn't much to do leisurely. I can't say much about Spring and Aldine. Hope this helps.

Spring is maybe 5 or 6 miles south of The Woodlands and is a great place to live. Easy access to freeways, plenty of places to eat and shop and close to other areas. I don't know about the school district (if you have kids) because I don't have any kids. South of Spring is the Greenspoint area and Aldine area. Both areas make the news a lot, and not in a good way.
