Re: Moving to Corpus Christi
Wow, I'm so sorry to hear the bad news in CC. I went to school there. I worked at Spohn in the Cath Lab and Spohn gave me a scholarship for school. I lived in the South side of town......Near the beach. I had to live across Cole Park at first to be near the hospital, I heard that was bad at night. I went to evening classes and minded my own business and never had any trouble.
The people I worked with played some good jokes on me,we all laughed. My dialect I guess. My son was schooled in Flour Bluff and did well.
I moved back home due to illness and needed surgery that would require a significant time away from work....so I had the help of my family back home.
I did work in a LTC facility when I first arrived there, not knowing a soul, and that was a bit scary. But within 2 weeks Spohn called me.
I wish you well in the hill country. Is that at or around Austin? That is a great town I think but know nothing about the nursing scene their.
Good Luck!
