Total 42 points
The above is the core/prereq course list. According to the ranking thingie, you get 2 points for each one of those that you take and get a C or above
(excluding PE). So the absolute maximum you could make there is 42 points. They say that on their website "(max. 42 points)". You said you haven't taken Economics, Computer, and 2 PE courses, so of the 42 possible, you lose 2 for not taking Economics, and you lose 2 for not taking computer, and PE doesn't matter
42 - 2 (economics) - 2 (computer) - 0 (PE) =
38 points
The second section on the ranking thingie says you get 1 point for each of the Prerequisites that you score a B or above on. There are 10 prereqs, and you said you got all 10 points of that, so
10 points
The next section is "BSN core and/or prerequisite courses currently in progress." You stated that you have taken everything
except for economics, computer and 2 PE courses. I actually made a mistake on this section in my original post.
So, these 4 classes represent the last courses you will
need to graduate, but since they are core classes, and NOT pre-reqs you
don't need to complete them to get into nursing school. You
will have to take them before graduating. So the way this is calculated is,
if you plan on taking these courses
BEFORE getting accepted to nursing school, then they will give you 1 point for each one
you plan to take before going to nursing school. So like if you were entering in Spring 2010, and you took those 4 classes in the Fall 2009, you would get
4 points (1 for each class). Alternatively, you could take none of these courses and get
0 points. You'll just have to take them while in nursing school if this were the case.
Next, you get 1 point for each .10 points that your cumulative GPA is above 2.5. You had the right idea with the 2.5, 2.6, 2.7, etc counting system, except that you started with 2.5.
The number
2.5 is not over 2.5 so you shouldn't count it. You should've started with 2.6, 2.7, 2.8, 2.9, 3.0, 3.1, 3.2, 3.3. You are 0.8 GPA points above 2.5. 2.5 + 0.8 = 3.3. The 0.8 will give you
8 points of credit.
Same thing with the Prereq gpa section. That one gives you
9 points of credit.
And you got
2 points for your NET test result.
So we add up the numbers -
38
10
0 - 4 (depending on how many and or if any of the remaining core classes you are gonna take or are currently taking between now and starting nursing school)
8
9
2
