Math 0350 Tarrant County College

Hello al! TCC changed up their cirriculum a bit and now Math 0350 is required before applying to the nursing program. I know that this class will not be considered when they calculate the GPA on the pre-reqs. I am having a bit of trouble in this class ( I stink at math, but I am holding onto a 79) right now.....In your opinions, do you think making a C in this course would hurt me all that much since it is not configured into the pre-req GPA? Do you think it would look terribly bad if I made a C? Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The way I understand it is that you only need a passing grade in math.

good luck

I agree - just passing the class will be good enough. I still need that math requirement too - but I'm hoping I can pass it just by re-taking the accuplacer. I think you need to get a 64 or is it a 67 on the math portion to have that requirement filled.
Good luck to you!

Thanks and good luck to you too! I tried that....beware..that test is hard! Not trying to be discouraging..just giving you a heads up. Go to the testing center and get a practice test beforehand....that might have helped me..if I would have known 2 mins before taking the test! Good Luck!

Hmmm....I'm pretty sure you only need to take Math 0304, not Math 0350. It's just a pass/fail. Where did you get that TCC changed the requirements?

.

Math 0304 is no longer suffice for the math requirement. You must take 0350; you can verify this on www.tccd.edu/nursing.

K, i know this reply is very late but i just now registered @ allnurses. I just finished math 0350. I was so upset that they changed the math requirement I had completed all my pre-reqs and was ready to apply. I spent an entire semester on that one silly class and will now have to wait a semester, after i apply again next month, to find out whether or not i got in. Booo! They shall not run me off though, they are only strengthening my resolve!
I always curl up in a ball and cry like this when my resolve is being strengthened
