Thumbs up update
:hatparty:Party time..I got my LVN License for TEXAS....
I must say the board acted quickly ..once I send in my Endorsement papers
So all you Nurses out there ...be persistant ..once you pass your NCLEX-PN
or NCLEX-RN ....
getting a license it just a stone throw away ..
It appears that the Board is not easyly accessable ..but if you follow the direction given by the board ..they will act on it quickly ..
SO as for myself all I have to say ...
PERSISTANCE ...pervails.....
anyone needing any pointers or help
(especially if you are a RPN from CANADA )..
I will help ...

Default Re: License endorsement for TEXAS
Hi!
Im from the Philippines and has a current NM license.
I am on the process of endorsing it to Texas.

Does anyone have an idea whether I will be given a
permanent Texas license when they approve my application for endorsement?

If so, how many years is it valid and are they going to send it to me
here in hard copy?

Thanks so much
Hope to hear from those who know.

Your best bet would be to either call the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners or to email someone there.

There's a woman in Licensing/Endorsement Dept named Christine Howard that you can speak to.

Good luck!

Question Re: License endorsement for TEXAS
Hi chee 23,

I read that your application for Texas license thru endorsement is underway. We almost have the same case so I hope you can answer some questions that I have. I am currently holding an MA license for almost 3 years now and wanted to relocate to Texas. I learned that one of the requirements for me to have a license (not just the temporary one) is to have all licenses that I have and had verified. That includes my license from the Philippines which of course has expired already. How did you do it? I can't find any clear info on how to go about the process since the PRC website did not supply me with needed instructions. They don't even have a postal zip code and until now I can't figure out what it is. Did you send them the form that TX BON provided? Did you pay any fee? Or did you go thru CES of CGFNS and paid the $300+ fee. Please help. Thanks!

Thanks, Bridley for posting Christine Howards' name & number (TEXAS BON). I just talked to her about how to go about having my Philippine license verified and she was AMAZINGLY helpful, very pleasant.

I know now that I have to send the vefication form to PRC and PRC will have to send the filled-in form to TX BON. But does anybody know how much PRC charges for this service, how long approx. the process is, and what their exact postal zip code is.

Thanks, thanks, thanks!
