Info about SNAP Program?

I'm trying to decide whether or not to stay in Austin after graduating; one thing that might keep me here is the possibility of doing the SNAP program through St. David's. I think I would have a decent shot at getting accepted into it. Has anyone out there done the program? If so, what did you think of it? Does it mean anything to anyone outside of the Austin area? What were the hours like, as far as on-the-floor vs. classroom, and what kinds of shifts? Is there any requirement to continue working at St. David's once it's done? Any and all comments are welcome and appreciated!
