hi fellow texans quick question about dvt

thanks for reading-- does it help at all to prevent PE by raising HOB this may be a silly question but i did not know if it could slow progress- i know it would help if it was in lungs with decreasing fluid accumulation.. anyways thanks again

I have not seen any research on the subject, but I would guess with patient having the HOB up all the time instead of at a position of comfort you could actually decrease the level of blood flow to the lower extremities and there by increase the chance of more DVTs.
