Hesi?

HESI is a testing program that offers exams for nurses, nursing students, and nursing school applicants. Applicants for nursing programs are usually still required to take a school's entrance exam (such as the HESI) regardless of TASP-exempt status.

You'll find a lot of references on the site to the HESI exam for nursing students, which is used as a predictor for passing the NCLEX (licensing board exam) and is often a requirement for graduation.

A lot of schools will not allow you to graduate without passing it.

There's a HESI entrance exam, midterm exam, and final exam. Some nursing programs will not send your paperwork into the Board of Nursing until you pass the HESI final exam portion. My coworker completed a nursing program in 2006, but was unable to pass the HESI final exam until August 2007. During that year, he had to work as a CNA because his school refused to send his paperwork into the board for nursing licensure.

TWU just does an Exit HESI (and a mid curricular one that doesn't count). You have 3 chances to pass the exit HESI or they won't send your paperwork.
