HEP B series shots in Houston?

Hi all,
Can anyone tell me where I can get HEP B series shots for free or at a reasonable cost? I do not have health insurance, so a private doctor is out of the question. I tried the city clinics, but they won't do them for Adults. I got all of the other shots I needed at a city clinic (TB, MMR, and Tetnus.) If any can suggest a place in or around the Houston area, please let me know.

There is a clinic in Katy called Breath of Life. I have volunteered there for child immunization clinics. They are not free but reasonable and I'm not really sure if they offer vaccines to adults but if you are on the Westside give them a call and check it out. It should be listed in the phone book. If they say "no" maybe they could point you in the right direction.

I would also suggest that any health care facility you work for will give them at no charge. I presume you're a student - any chance you need to hire on somewhere anyway - two birds with one stone and all.

Did you try the Health Department? I live in Collin County (north of Dallas) the charge was $50 for each shot of Hep B.

There is a clinic in Dickinson (south of Houston) that gave me the last two shots of my series. I think they charged $50/shot. They didn't take appointments, so the wait was sometimes longer than I was willing to endure. Good luck!!!

Thanks for all the replies everyone. I have done some checking around and the cheapest I could find was a clinic in North Houston that charges $40 per shot. I am going to keep checking, but if I don't find anything else by Monday, I am going to go there. Thanks for the update...if anyone needs the doctor's information I would be happy to forward.
