What kind of job are you looking for...I have a hard time believing there are none to be found...seems like my hospital is always hiring. Where in Houston are you that may help us narrow it down for you.

Any entry-level nursing job. I'm rattled everytime I see experience requirements for the positions. I talked to a nurse @ the downtown are one time and she advised me to apply anyway, even if I don't have enough experience. She told me not to worry about it because they I'll have at least 3 months of orientation in the area anyways.. Is this correct? Thanks..

I am not sure about everywhere but I know you can get quite an orientation at my hospital if you want...I only took 5 shifts, but then I had experience too. You should apply for jobs and more jobs...just try to get in the door..

Maybe look for a "new grad" position. I know you graduated last year but if you have no hospital experience this might be the way to go. Almost all the hospitals in the medical center have these programs.
