HCC - REMOVED CRITICAL THINKING section of HESI

Has anyone heard, that HCC has removed their critical thinking section of the HESI? There was a lot of back and forth controversy about this. I'm thinking someone went to the Dean or director regarding this issue. I previously saw some blogging about this about two weeks ago.

I hope not. That is the essence of nursing...what I do know is that I heard from another university that HCC has a 50% pass rate on NClex. Not good.

Actually, I was referring to the Hesi Entrance exam, the crititcal thinking is an area that you would learn once you get into the program. So, to be tested on it before you are taught, was the cause for a lot of conflict. From reading all the blogs, here, it appears that there are other types of Hesi given through out the Nursing program-ADN. I am sure that every program has their own cirriculum. But I certainly need to know exactly how often and how the test will be used towards us in the program.
