If you're not too selective about where you want to work, a new grad LVN will be able to find work in the DFW area. Beggars can't be choosers.

Nursing homes and assisted living facilities will hire you if you have a pulse and a license, no matter if you lack experience. However, acute care hospitals and home health agencies may prove more challenging.

Check monster.com, Craigslist and careerbuilder.com-there are lots of job opportunities on those sites. Staffing companies are also ready to hire!!! I agree with the above poster-nursing homes are buzzing for LVN's!! HTH

I am starting LVN school in Jan. 2010, should I work as a CNA while attending school, which will give me some experience?

Although it's difficult to work while in nursing school it's not impossible...I think it will help if you're in the position to be in the "nursing environment" and can get help and advice from other nurses if you need it!!
