DFW LPN-RN Question.

Hi all. I am considering moving down to the DFW area in a few months from OKC but want to hear about the school situation first. How long are the wait lists for the bridge programs and how competitive are they to get into? Thanks.

Don't have a clue but wouldn't recommend working as a nurse in DFW unless you absolutely have to.

No waiting list for the LVN to RN programs here. I have been trying to get in for years and must say the competition if very fierce.

The competition for spots in LVN-to-RN programs is very nasty in the DFW area. My friend is an LVN with a BS degree in another major with all prereqs completed, and she cannot seem to be admitted into any of these programs. My coworker had a 4.0 grade point average in all prereqs and was rejected by Tarrant County College in Fort Worth for their LVN-to-RN program. However, Southwestern Adventist University decided to admit her.

That was my understanding when I called around for hubby. Thats one reason I am loving Excelsior right now. I'll be finished before he can get in.
