DFW or Austin Hospitals for new grads

I am a soon to be new grad (BSN at the end of April) looking at the possibility of moving to Texas. I'm a >3.0 GPA student from a very well know university nursing program in the southeast. I have family in TX so I know I like the area of both of these cities, but I really know nothing about the hospitals.

I've mostly heard (from this website) of the Versant program in Austin for GNs and would be interested in the July cohort. How soon would I need to start applying?

ANY information about any of the hospitals or programs they offer would be greatly appreciated. What to look for, what to avoid, pros and cons, whatever. I feel completely blind in all of this!

Thank you

Is there a certain area of nursing that you are interested in, or are there any hospitals in particular that you are curious about?

Not specifically. I've really enjoyed both my Peds and women's health rotations but there are still so many departments I haven't seen (trauma, ER, oncology, etc) so I don't have my heart set on anything.

And I really don't know anything about any of the hospitals so any information you have to share would be great!
Thank you!
