DFW area apartments

I am about to put my house up for sale and would like to know if there are any decent, affordable, (in a quiet neighborhood) apartments around? I live south of Dallas now and my plans are to go to EC/NL in Fall 07/Spring 08. I don't mind a bit of a drive to school/clinicals; I just don't want the responsibility of a house while going to NS. If you know of someplace, please let me know. I know it may take a bit to sell my house but I'd like to start getting info on apartments. It will be me and my son - so a 2BR. If I can get him to move out on his own (I wish!! - he is 19 and going to school also), I would do an efficiency just for me.

Thanks!

In which part(s) of DFW would you consider making the move?

I used to live in the area on MacArthur right around NorthLake College. I walked to school some days.

It is Las Colinas. Most of the apartments on Hidden Ridge and Meadow Creek are decent. (Rancho Mirage and Remmington yes, Hidden Ridge and Summer Bend- okay, only if you get a FRONT unit, Jefferson -okay, Kightbridge-nice)

Thomas Jefferson Park is right in the middle and the walking trail is fantastic.

Just acrose 635 is part of North Las Colinas and Copell. That neighborhood is very nice with lots of new houses and apartments that have been built in the last 5 years. You can get a decent apartment on that side of 635.

Commuter: I'm not that picky - maybe to my detriment!! Ha - but I currently live in Midlothian and drive to the Tollway/NW Hwy area. It would just depend on the apartment/area/and price of the apartment.

Sunnyjohn - thanks for the information. I'll look into those apartments.
