Del Mar or traditional school for older student?

Hope this isn't too long, but I need advice. I an 34 yrs old,and returning to nursing school in the fall. I started this fall and failed lecture in the second 8 wks (which was tough because I studied sooooo hard)! I have the option to return at my present school and pick up where I left off, or consider Del Mar. Does anyone know how the school works? Is admissions open since it distance learning? Would they accept a student with a D in a nursing course. I want to continue with school, but at this age, time is important. It seems that I could finish Del Mar faster because my school does not have holiday or summer courses. So any thought about which route to take?
