Collin County versus Grayson County Nursing Programs

I can't give you any info other than I know at least one person at both campuses. Both have good things to say about their programs, and although hard, they are both enjoying it.

I used to do work-study for Grayson College's Nursing Program. I can't tell you much, but I do know that it's a pretty good program. The instructors are good and teach well. The students have always said that about them. The downfall is that the last semester I worked there (SP 05) there was a little over 600 applicants. They use the point system and the HESI A2 Admission Test. I can't tell you for certain, but I would assume that unless you have a really high GPA and excellent HESI Scores, you could wait up to two years before getting accepted. I am currently taking my pre-reqs for the LVN program at Grayson. I figured I might be able to do better getting into their LVN-RN bridge program. It will probably take just as long.
