I have a 91 on the HESI, will have 34 points with all support courses completed except Dosages. Applying for Spring 2010. Do I have anything to worry about? Thanks

No, they just want the majority of the support courses done. Especially pharma and patho.

I know people going into their 3rd semester of the program who were in my dosage class over the summer. I got in without having had taken dosage as well. It's the more lengthy courses they want you to have out of the way, and of course, it's a point scale-someone can have all courses complete, but not do as well on the HESI as someone who doesn't have all completed but scores higher on the HESI and the latter will get in.

Techraider77, what did you do to study for the HESI. I went to nursing school back at Tech in 2001 to 2003 but didn't finish the program... but now I want to go back. I have all the classes for Brookhaven except End of Life Issues. I plan to take the Hesi in September but it's been like 8 years since I took A&P. Was the A&P portion hard?

Hi went to the school library and got the study guide. They don't allow you to check it out, but I went to the copy room and copied each section that I would be taking on the exam. I also went to the elsevier website and there are study questions and help there. I had trouble on the A&P portion, it was a little difficult. I guess it's luck of the draw what questions you get. Really, it's hard to study back all through A&P right prior to help because you have no idea what random question it might ask you, I think I made a 69% on the A&P portion the first time (84% total on the exam), I brushed up on it a little and took it a second time and made 86% total. The questions were different that time. But, I accepted the 86% HESI score, and applied for nursing a second time-and got accepted. I still had Dosage to complete upon application to-so don't worry about the End of Life if it hasn't been completed yet when you apply-just register for it asap. I took it as a summer course, like 3-4 classes I think it was. It was easy. I still have no clue why they can't offer that class online.

I still had dosage to complete when I applied. I had 29 points. I got accepted. You have nothing to worry about.

I ordered HESI study cards online. They were helpful, my math was a little rusty.
