Hello I applied for the nursing program Spring 2010. I got a 82 on the HESI exam and my point are only 21 points
do you think I have a chance to get into the program? The only class I have not completed is End Of Life Issues. If I dont get in I will reapply again. Can someone tell me if they were close to what I have scored as far as points?

Over the past few semesters, the lowest that was taken was 28 points. It depends on the amount of points the rest of the applicant pool has.

Hi. I applied 2 app. periods ago with 28.76 points and got in the top 60 for interviewing, but didn't make top 40. I had applied prior with just my pre-req's and 16 pts, and knew I wouldn't get in, but wanted my 3 points. I applied again for this Fall semester with the exact 28.76 points, and they didn't have interview this last time-it was straight top 40-and I got in. I'm now in first semester. It kind of just depends on the app. pool. I have heard of people as low as 25 getting in since I started school there, but then they combined the Mt.View and BHC app's for awhile if not still, and it got a little tougher. I did hear however, that with the new building we have, and more staffing-the app. pool should increase soon. If you don't get in, atleast you get your 3 points, and I would definately go to the evolve website, log in and access your last HESI results and it gives you practice and quizes, etc. for things you missed to help you out and take it again. Good Luck!

MJones - I am in the same boat as you. I got an 84 on my Hesi (I did poorly on the A&P portion). I also have all my classes complete except the End of Life Issues, which I probably never get into because it's always closed when I am able to register (since I go to school there, I have to wait to register). I don't think I will get in though - so I am just counting on the extra 3 points and plan to do a lot more studying next time for that particular section. Brookhaven also offers a HESI prep. I was going to take it this time but it was after the exam cut off.

** To answer your question:
I had 14.12 points before Hesi (classes and gpa).
Hesi gave me 9 points.

I'm applying for the second time with 33.18 points and been told by others that I should be able to get in....I'm feeling pretty good about it, but don't want to be overly optimistic until I know for sure. Ann said we should know our admittance status by the end of October. I can't wait to get this waiting period over with so I can start planning for next year!

Alum08 I retook the Hesi to improve my score. The Hesi score is good for 2 years, but you can retake them during any application period if you are unsatisfied with your score.
