So today was the first day to register for classes for summer and all of the anatomy classes are filling up fast... I am hoping and praying that there will still be a spot open for me come May 10th (the day those of us with no ACC credits can register)!!! I really wish they didn't go by credits for registration but there is nothing I can do about it.

I am super nervous about this wait, I really want in this class!

Be sure and look at the number of students who dropped anatomy last semester. Don't give up hope yet.

If you have 1-9 semester hrs you can register Sunday May 10--one day before the peons.

That is true. It is crazy how many students drop during the first couple weeks. My Pharmacology class was so full at the beginning of this semester and now we are lucky to have 10 students out of the 30 that started! Same goes for my Micro class, we started with 24, now we have 11.

I took Anatomy and another class with * ***** when completing my pre-requisites many, many years ago. I really liked him and made A's both times..the last class I took with him, my final grade was a 100%. He gets grouchy with the people who don't come to class unprepared, but I never had a problem with that.

Oh, how I miss the days of making A's. They are so much harder to get in the nursing program!

I have heard that same response from nurses at my work that its harder to get into nursing school now...one said it was much easier to get into nursing school years back, she got in with a 3.0 at UTHSC in SA and there weren't any Entrance Exams you had to take to get in the program such as TEAS and HESI...I wonder why its sooo much harder nowadays to become a nurse when there is a suposal shortage, you would think they would make it a lil easy on us.

I honestly don't have a preference for teacher or campus, I just want in!! I am going to be nervously checking constantly this next week or so... I was hoping since it was a summer session that it would be less competitive but I guess not :\

RadiationRN how did you like pharmacology?

Pharmacology is fine. I cannot recommend ***** ***** enough though. She is awesome! Yeah she seems a little monotone at times, but she just has to warm up to ya. She is an RN Phd and she really has tons of years of nursing experience and it shows in how she teaches her classes. Her exams are all multiple choice and her exam reviews are great. I did not purchase the textbook because her notes that you purchase are very detailed and all the exam stuff comes straight from her notes. The dosage exams are tough at first, but once you get the hang of them, they become simple, time consuming, but simple. The first one took me over 3 hours and I barely passed it with an 80, but the last 2 I scored 96 and 98 and they only took me about an hour or so.

If you haven't taken Intro to Micro yet, I seriously recommend **** ******!! She is AWESOME!!! She has been my favorite professor at ACC so far.

I took ***** ***** online Pharm and got an A. I tried to watch Espinosa's videos to accompany the class but ended up not watching all of them and did just fine.
I had Dr. *** for Anatomy and loved, loved, loved him. I think he teaches only down south now (I took him at Cypress) but I would take anything he teaches.
I took Dr. ****** for Intro to Micro and he is a dear, sweet man. He is older (and slower) but I did learn a ton from him. He only teaches down south, too.

Thanks so much for the professor recommendations! It looks like the professors for the 11 week Anatomy classes this summer are: ****, *****, ********, and *********. I could only find ***** on ratemyprofessors.com and he got great reviews, so I would pleased to get him, plus he is at Rio Grande campus which is closest to my house. *crosses fingers*
