| | Applying for Tarrant County College Nursing, fall 2009
Just dropped the application in the box at nursing dpt. on south campus. Good luck to everyone who's doing the same thing, and God bless you all!
I got "A"s in all of my pre-requites, and alright score on my TEAS test, 85 national, and 85 regional. My grammar part of TEAS wasn't the best since I am an ESL, which is why my percentile isn't in the 90s. But hopefully I will be able to get in, after all, TCC is the only school I applied, I feel good about it.
Anyone else is out there?

I am dropping my application in the box on Monday. I went to the orientation session Tuesday and I am set. Now to only wait for the decision. Good luck to you. Hopefully we will both make it in.

The wait for me wasn't too bad because during the wait I was working two jobs putting $$ aside for books ! It turned out to be a good idea... the first two semesters you spend a lot of money on books. But you have to keep in mind those books you use all through the rest of the program. May will be here before you know it!!!

MsDev007, I was trying to apply for the spring 2009, last year, planing on taking AnP2 and Micro in the Winter. I talked to Jo Nell, she directly to me that I don't stand a chance of getting in. I got discouraged of course, cuz I really wanna get in asap. But now, I realized what she told me was nothing but the truth.
So, I strongly suggest you to finish all of your pre-requisites, then apply.

Re: Applying for Tarrant County College Nursing, fall 2009
Zhengalexmiao,
Thank you so much for that information. I wont even bother applying...
So do you think it would be doable for me to take A&P I and Microbiology together or seperate. If i take A&P in fall 09, A&P II in spring 010, then Microbiology in fall 010, it will be 2011 b4 I can apply...right?
Is there any other school in the fort worth area i could apply to?
school is taking too long........i'm not getting any younger...:chuckle
Good Luck to everyone who've already applied!!

It really depends. I took AnP I, in the first Summer-mester: crazy with Dr. Vu, but still got an A, I worked for it . Took Chemistry in the second Summer-mester.
I took Anp II and Micro, however, at the same time, both in the regular fall semester of 2008. Both A, I had been working for 34 Hrs./ week too. If I can do it, you can too.
So, if you don't wanna take too long. Maybe you can take AnP I in summer 1, and AnP 2 in summer too, and Micro in the fall, while study for the TEAS test. And apply for the 2010 fall in February 2010.
