Re: applying to lone star colleges for fall 09
Hey guys... i go to kingwood college.. and i'm a first semester ADN student... and it is exactly how pinkynbd described it.. you might as well kiss your life goodbye now.

) I currently have monday clinical 6:30-5, lecture tuesday and wednesday 12:30-3 and lab from 3-5 and pharm on tuesdays from 7-10, and i work thursday and friday so every spare moment i'm in my books. I would recommend ordering books off amazon.com i saved over 300 dollars. Also, invest in a good rolling backpack, i know there not the cutest things in the world but trust me its much better then lugging 4 or 5 nursing books around

). I found a really cute one at marshalls its betsy johnson i got it for 50.00 dollars when it was originally 200.00 so shop around! Also, if you are wondering what stethoscope is good... i have a littman lightweight se that i got from allheart.com and i bought it during a sale that was around 35 dollars, i was scared to buy a nice one because people say they have a tendency to walk off...but i haven't come across any problems and it well help alot being able to listen to different types of lung sounds because you can hear so well with a littman!

) Also, invest in a good drug guide if you can davis's is really good, i had a cheap one at first but you will need a good one for clinical and lab. I don't know why i'm telling you all these things lol....there just little things i'm thinking of that might help! If i think of anything else i'll post it. Good luck and congrats! And remember RN=C
