anywhere left in texas where you work 32 and get paid for 40?

Hey guys. Is there anywhere left in texas that you can work 2 16 hr shifts and get paid for 40 hrs. I had a nursing instructor who said she did that years ago. Just curious, thanks!

I work two 16-hour shifts every Saturday and Sunday while getting paid for 40 hours. It is called 'The Baylor Plan'.

Many nursing homes offer the Baylor Plan. Few, if any, hospitals offer it.

So, what happens if you pick up any additional shifts. Do they go towards overtime or start off at the 36 hr mark?
Thank you, Dee Onna

I sometimes work extra shifts Monday through Friday. You start off at the 32 hour mark since you only worked 32 hours on the weekend.

For example, I worked 16 hours on Sat. and Sun., then worked extra 8 hour shifts on Mon., Wed. and Fri. The Monday shift was straight time, but the shifts on Wednesday and Friday were time and a half. The Baylor plan pays me for 40 hours when I work 2 16-hr shifts but only gives me credit for 32 hours. It is confusing to you, I am sure.

You might see this more frequently advertsised as a "TDA" (two day alternative plan) around here. Baylor offers this throughout their system.
