What is Long Term Acute Care?

  1. Hey there, okay so I am verrry excited to begin work as a CNA and I have heard it is extremly diff. to get into a hospital but I filled out applications anyway. I got my CNA license in July and have NO experience so I knew it would be a long shot to get a call back...buutt they called me for an interview! It's a heart hospital, but the department is Long Term Acute Care. What does this mean? Is it still in a hospital? Does it pay less or more? What can I expect?....oh and what types of questions do they ask on these types of interviews? anyone that has any insight would be greatly appreciated
