    Hey team-

    I'm considering taking out loans and going to Belmont for their nursing program. I'll end up owing 40k for my bsn when it's all said and done. It's either that or go to MTSU. The good thing about MTSU is I won't have ANY debt after I graduate... the bad thing is I would have to drive 40 mins to class every day.

    Does anybody know how the Stafford loans work exactly? Say you get awarded the full amount, which is like 10k, does that mean you get 10k per semester or per year? My tuition is going to be 12k exactly every semester at Belmont.

    Please feel free to give me any advice or share any similar experiences you might have.

    The 10,000 will be split into 2 semesters so you will need to either find a personal loan for the extra 7,000 a semester or a scholarship.
