I am interested in pursuing my lpn certificate and returning to school later for my RN. Has anyone here applied to this program ect. I know registration is taking place now every thursday, just wondering has anyone tested got in this program. I am hoping to enter in the 2011oct class.:)

I'm in the current day class. It's a really good program, but VERY intense.

I was not aware that they are registering anyone yet... are you sure? Usually, you will take the COMPASS test in the early spring and from there the school contacts people to interview/apply.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Yes, they just started regististration as far as the entrance exam for the program 3 wks ago hopefully I will make it there this week. How was the compass test I know a lot of ppl say that it is common sense questions but I stink in math so I am worried. Also how long was the process after you took the test know ing that you were accepted.

The compass was pretty easy for me, but if you're at all uncomfortable with the math you will want to do some review work first. There are a bunch of websites that will walk you through sample tests, just google "compass review" or something like that. You will want to get really high scores on it, as they only interviewed about the top 1/3 of applicants, based solely on compass scores.

The process was pretty long. I took the compass in February, got a letter inviting me to an orientation in May, I think. Then after orientation we scheduled interviews, and I found out at the end of July that I was accepted for the September class.

If they stick to their previous system, they will not put the class together until sometime next summer. So my advice would be that you wait as long as you can to take the compass, and use that time to study for it so that you can ensure yourself a high score. You are only allowed to retake sections of the compass that you fail, so getting a high score the first time is important.

Good luck!
