Hi, I got my very first job offered as full time LPN at two different nursing facilities and can't decide which one i should choose. They both are located at 45mins drive from my home. At the first job,I have to take care of 24patients on my shift. They said they will give my RN tuition fees after one year of employment. The work schedule is Fri-mon,7pm to 7am. The orientation will take about 3weeks and the payrate is $17.50/hr. The nurse and patient ratio at second job is 1:16 .So the workload seems so much relieved but they don' have a financial support for continual education. They offer me $17.75/hr. They don't have fixed working days schedule. All I know is I have to work either 7am-2pm,2pm to 7am. So,if you were in my situation, which one would you pick? Since it is my very first job,I really need your advice.I have to reply HR tomorrow if I can work for them.

Do you really want to work every weekend? I did that for awhile and it gets old fast.

On the other hand I can't imagine working 2pm to 7am...is that a real schedule?
